For a while they made 3-way refrigerators that ran on propane, 120v AC, and 12v from either the chassis or house batteries. Left in the 12v mode for more than a couple of hours and it would suck the batteries down to nothing.

I don't think any one in their right mind would try and use the 12v while the caravan is sited as it will flatten the battery very quickly. Using gas would be a better option.
